BUDWEISER MICHIGAN MAJORS
Aaron Lorincz picked up his second Budweiser Michigan Majors title with a 258-223 triumph over top-seeded Matt Anderson of Holly at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights.
Lorincz qualified fifth for the stepladder finals. In the finals he beat Ken Wyatt of Sterling Heights 248-214, Terry Haines of Westland 268-229 and Corey Miller of Grand Blanc 267-168 en route to the championship match. Lorincz pocketed $1,000 for his victory.
Anderson led the field of 45 by 142 pins with a nine-game total of 2,218. He took home $500.
Miller cashed for $400, Haines $350 and Wyatt $300.
Other Oakland County cashers were Chris Steward of Clawson for $120 and Greg Gumtow Jr. of South Lyon $110.
The next Budweiser Michigan Majors event will be Aug. 20 at Galaxy Lanes in Grand Blanc.
