NATIONAL SENIOR BOWLING ASSOCIATION
Dave Eatmon of Ferndale won the National Senior Bowling Association event at Colonial Lanes in Ann Arbor with a 245-216 win over Ken Kossick of Commerce Township.
Eatmon qualified 18th and proceeded to beat Jack Dalie of Springfield, Ohio 204-189, Rick Capaldi of Canton 245-206, Rick Schultz of Warren 211-191 and Mike Lucente of Warren 224-219. Eatmon earned the top check of $1,000.
Kossick qualified second. In match play he defeated Mike Chapman of Garden City 199-141, Larry Franz of Redford 244-224 and Jeff Lisinski of Wauseon, Ohio 222-193 en route to the finals. Kossick settled for $500.
Rick Capaldi was the top qualifier and recorded the top game with 300.
Other local seniors who cashed were Mike McCleskey of Southfield for $140, Mike Atkins of Pontiac $90 and Dan Mayer of Waterford Township $70.
The next NSBA event will be August 14 at Troy Lanes in Troy.
